What has inspired me?

Ever since I was a young girl I have always wanted to be part of the multinational food processing business.I have always possessed the passion for preparing, cooking, decorating and serving different types of food and beverages with my mother in the kitchen. I observed how she hardly cooked food using water, but rather dry wood and charcoal.

When I entered high school and I was able to study food and nutrition as a vocational qualification, I thoroughly enjoyed it. This obsession has been the catalyst for my continuous study and work within related fields. It is a passion that drives me to understand every aspect of humanity’s, biological, cultural and social relationship to food and to ultimately help others to be inspired buy the food they consume.

My mission is to create and lead a dream team where everyone is playing to their strengths. I am in control of things in my life and I have a clear sense of purpose in career. I have achieve an Advanced Diploma in Hotel Management and a Degree in International Tourism and Hospitality Management.

As a graduate who has experienced struggles, hardship and poverty, I have been inspired to create a business based in my passion for food. I possess good qualities such as determination, integrity and self-motivation which allows me to open and grow in my business, Great Grace Caribbean Cuisine, since 2019. My business and experience working in retail, catering and hospitality has helped me to understand the difference between brands, decision making, training, coaching, shrinkage and the recognition of employees.

Being in the food industry is indeed the most exiting experience because it allows me to meet a diverse range of people, as well as express my enthusiasm for customer service, I am able to acknowledge customers, build relationships with them and close the sale.
